My artwork is about movement, texture, color, and people. My subject is often people because they define our times and provide context to how we live today. I strive to bring their personality to the canvas along with the places they live and things they use. I have been strongly influenced by my immigrant grandparents’ tales of their life since coming to America.
In my abstracts, I use broad moving brush strokes of paint, and overlaying textures to create interest. My goal is to keep the viewers’ eyes busy; to see something new with each read.
I love to work in multiple mediums, they bounce off and reflect on each other and make for a fresh image. Imagination is piqued and my audience often tells me all about it, which makes the piece fun.
