I use my photography to share moments I experience and things that I see. It started with cities and landscapes I saw while driving concert tours around the US and Canada. That wide focus narrowed to objects and events, then that narrowed to a 12-month concentration on birds. That theme ultimately led me to be included in the 2019 Wild Birds Unlimited calendar.
Digital photography is my medium. I got my first digital camera in 2009. I like that I can freeze a moment in time and space. It gives me the chance to see each feather on a bird’s wing or the hairs on a dragonfly’s back. It gives me the chance to see the things that most of us fail to pay attention to. My plan is to share some of the things I see while out in America.
My art is my study of life. It’s the interaction between animals, between people, and of nature. I record the wind and rain, the mountains and the plains, the sun and the moon, the earth and the sky. I record life’s beautiful, complicated, yet simple dance.
