did not begin painting until I became an empty nester. I have fallen in love with varied mediums of artistic expression but I feel most comfortable with acrylics, my primary medium. The fast drying time of this medium allows me to experiment with layers and textures using various gel mediums in my work. I continue to experiment encaustics, watercolor, and charcoal.

My work ranges from intimate scenes to large abstract paintings. My abstract painting practice allows me to experiment with materials to build texture and explore new colors. Abstracts are my favorite painting now!
